Entertainment media plays a crucial role in shaping societal norms and youth behavior. Stand-up comedy shows, songs, YouTube videos, and Bollywood movies have a significant influence on the younger generation, often reflecting and reinforcing certain behaviors. While these forms of entertainment can be sources of creativity and inspiration, they also have the potential to promote negative habits such as substance abuse, violence, and inappropriate social behavior. This research paper explores how the portrayal of smoking, drinking, aggression, and abusive language in popular media impacts the mindset of youth. Using content analysis and psychological studies, this paper examines the subconscious effects of repeated exposure to such content, leading to normalization and imitation of harmful behaviors. The study also discusses the role of regulatory bodies, parental supervision, and media literacy in mitigating these negative influences. The findings aim to contribute to discussions on responsible media consumption and content creation, emphasizing the need for a balanced and ethical representation of societal issues in entertainment.
